Spring Cleaning

I have been so excited for spring. Spring means everything starts blooming, which means icky pollen. Thank goodness this Spring I haven't had as much problems as other people. But I love the how everything is blooming. We had such a hard winter that I am glad to see things beginning to show color.

Since it is spring I have been doing some spring cleaning. Mike and I have been hard at work to do things around the house (no he doesn't live with me). Last Saturday we decided to have a day javascript:void(0)were we did some fixing up. I had bought a new toilet so that was first on the list, next was some new lights for the bathroom, and sometime it was time to do some yard work. We totally got all this done and were exhausted. The next day we decided that the trash from all this work we had been doing since I bought the house needed to be put outside. We put the dryer that broke, a fan, 5 lights, a fan, a toilet, a shower rod, a ugly curtain and a chair. I figured the first thing to go would be the chair. It was a good looking chair and most people can use a good chair. With in the 1st house a couple stopped and looked through all the stuff on my lawn and the took the broken dryer, shower rod, and 2 lights was the first thing to go. I was shocked. Well an hour later an older man stopped and started looking. He took all the lights, the ugly curtain, the fan, the TOILET SEAT, the toilet bowl lid, and last but not least the (EEEWWW) AN OLD TOILET BRUSH!!! That was so gross. Well nothing else left that night. The next day by the time i got home the chair was gone. By the time Mike got here at 6 that night the TOILET WAS GONE! I couldn't believe it, but you never know what will be another person's treasure.

Beauty

So the past few days have been so pretty! Wednesday the high was almost in the 70's it was wonderful. We needed... .well i needed that! I needed sun. Sun just makes you feel so much better. Also seeing all the beautiful flowers. I have pretty flowers growing right beside my house! I can't say enough that it just makes me feel better. I was so depressed on Monday when they were calling for snow. We have had so much snow the year that I am ready for warm weather. I was so scared I was going to get stuck at home again. I love being at home for a little bit of time, but when I am here all alone I become depressed and start over thinking things ( I mean really over thinking things). But thank goodness that there is warm weather coming. It makes the world just seem so much more. I did hear that we are suppose to get more snow at the end of the month, well according to the farmers almanac! I hope it's wrong. I hope everyone enjoys all this wonderful weather! :-)

all time pet peeve

Everyone has a pet peeve. I have several. For example one is when someone wears black pants and white socks. Oh my that really just makes me want to scream. Another one is not telling the truth. I really hate that. But my big one is being ignored or feeling like i am being ignored. Last week and this week i have called several people and they have either not answered or hardly spoke to me when i called. If i called them and they didn't answer I left a voice mail and they didn't call me back. You know i am sorry but i hate that and people know that. IT really bothers me when people are rude. I mean seriously does it take a whole lot to call back in a few hours. I usually have something i have to say to the person and that is why i called. Oh i thought of a better one. They call you but you can't answer so you call them back and they don't answer and they don't call you back. This is what bothers me and this is how i felt from most of my life this week. I feel like i am not wanted and no one wants me. I feel like people are just telling me things to make me feel good because they really don't give a you know what about me! it really bothers me.

The Beach

So the weather is starting to get warmer and it makes me want to do one thing. It makes me want to go to the beach. I keep dreaming of the beach. I love the sand and the salt water. I want nothing more than to walk up and down the beach and feel the sand between my toes. The beach is the best place. It always makes every once of your body feel better (or at least mine). I am so hoping that we get spring break so I can go to the beach, if only for a day or two. A change of location is sometimes the best thing anyone can have. What do you all think? I can't help but laugh about the snow! We have had so much snow this year it's unreal. I don't ever remember getting this much snow. SO the best thing i know to do is laugh when things are crazy so here are some jokes I found about snow.

God speak

Wow! I haven't blogged in about a week or too. But I had to share this with the world. I was cleaning my kitchen, and sweeping when a song came on my MP3 player. It was the song about the little boy who is wanting to buy his mom a pair of shoes for Christmas. This would be her last Christmas and he wanted to buy her a perfect present, but more importantly he wanted to make sure she looked pretty when she meet Jesus. This made me think of the children from camp new life. This summer is gonna be a summer where I will get to know the children who come to camp and their many problems and well lack there of. But coming up there is an opportunity for many people in Haywood County (it's not limited to Haywood County, if you want to know i'll tell you how to donate) to donate their money to help camp run. What a better way to give an early Christmas present to a child than the gift of Jesus in their lives. On May 1st there will be the give 1 dollar change many children's lives donation. Be in prayer for this event and more importantly be in prayer for the children that will be attending camp!!!!

As I sit here looking out my picture window at the 300th snow we have had this year, I can't help but think of how i am ready for spring. But than I heard this song and it was so beautiful and the pictures on the video were wonderful. I couldn't help but sit here and look out my window in awe of how God must want us to stop and rest for a little bit. You know the more and more I think about this the more it is true. I need to stop wishing for other things in life. It is good to dream but I think that I wish too much. I am right where God wants me in life, and I need to be happy with that!

Ego Booster

That just made me feel good!

Another thing that made me feel good today. My wonderful boyfriend came by today just for a few minutes to see me! :-) That really made me feel good!



So this weekend we are suppose to be getting snow AND ice AGAIN!

This might make me miss seeing Jessica. Ugh it's been so long since I have seen her. I guess we will see.

Impending Ice

Seriously more ice is coming! I think I would be ok if we got more snow. At least you can drive on snow. Speaking of driving, my little ion is doing rather well in this mess at the moment. I almost didn't make it up Tuscola hill today because of ice. I was very smart and tried again at a different angle and put it low and made it quite safely up the hill. One of my friends at work almost didn't make it into the parking lot. Bless her heart! I felt horrible. She kept spinning around and around. Her child was cracking up in the back seat, she was not. SO we shall see what tomorrow morning holds for us! eeeekkkk

One a more lighter side my things for camp are slowly coming together. I have applications done and now I am working on some other things. But God sure is showing me this is the place for me. I have heard from several people the past few days about helping at camp. They have told me how much they are praying for me and are willing to help. It's a totally blessing, and I am so glad that God is showing me that is right place for me. I just need help with Camp ideas, ie. which Bible stories I should use. Camp crafts, games etc! Any body have any ideas?

Snow, snow and more snow!

I have been inspired by my sweet sorority little sis to start blogging. I have always wanted to start blogging. I sort of feel like that movie "Julie and Julia." I wonder if I can actually keep this up or will stop! humm let's see!

So, we have had a record amount of snow this year. And I don't know about anyone else but I am ready for spring. I don't like being cold, and I really don't like being stuck. This time around the snow hasn't been too bad. What's bad about it is the ice. The ice is bad. I am hoping my drive way melts today so that I can get out to go to work tomorrow, because i am pretty sure it will be an optional workday. Just to let you know the definition to optional workday for new teachers is to come to school every time the doors are open, but you ask where is the option and I say exactly! But that's ok. It's money and it helps pay for my house and my bills! We will see. Well have a wonderful snowy day folks. Talk to you next time! :-)
